This stoneware vase is turned on a potter's wheel and then the neck is worked by hand to give it this raw texture . The pieces in this series are all different and unique. Each one is deliberately textured and retains the trace of the gesture, which is the guarantee of the craftsman's work.

Claire Schott has been making stoneware or porcelain ceramics in her Landes workshop since 2022. Contemporary pottery, marked by the ancestral gestures of the pottery tradition, shaped on the wheel, by hand. She works, deforms, removes or adds clay. From this research emerges a set of ceramics for the table: different, random, unique pieces, which can be matched or mismatched to make them dialogue with each other.
